Biological properties of a newly isolated bacteriophage (NL1) that infects Escherichia coli O157:H7 strain

چکیده
Escherichia coli O157: H7 strain was used as the standard for bacteriophages isolated from polluted environmental foci and animal waste-contaminated waters, some of enteroinvasive strains previously sporadic cases were to determine host diversity phages. The physiological properties specific O157:H7, designated Escherichiaphage NL1, studied. After isolation step, purified their titer increased. Cross-antigenic hosts investigated with phage NL1 phage. One-step growth curve parameters such adsorption time phages, latent period, burst size, multiplicity infection value (MOI) determined. Results showed that bacteriophage completely lysed E.coli O157:H7 (RSKK 09007) O:164 RSKK 324. In study, effects only on investigated. calculated highest determined Optimal multiplycity (2.16x108). It period lasted 20 minutes reached size at approximately 90 minutes.

Complete Genome Sequence of Bacteriophage St11Ph5, Which Infects Uropathogenic Escherichia coli Strain up11
Bacteriophage St11Ph5 was isolated from a sewage sample on a particularly phage-resistant uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) up11 host strain. It appeared to be closely related to bacteriophage G7C, isolated from horse feces; however, it carries a highly divergent host recognition module.
متن کاملBiodesulfurization of Dibenzothiophene by a Newly Isolated Thermophilic Bacteria Strain
Microbiological analyses of soil chronically exposed to petroleum complex compounds of some oil springs in south of Iran resulted in isolation and purification of a new native thermophilic strain which is capable to desulfurize petroleum sulfur compounds by 4-S mechanism. Dibenzothiophene (DBT) was selected as a complex sulfur compound model and many experiments were done to identify the me...
متن کاملPurification and properties of a T4 bacteriophage factor that modifies valyl-tRNA synthetase of Escherichia coli.
After T4 bacteriophage infects Escherichia coli, a peptide tau, produced under the control of a phage gene, binds to the host valyl transfer ribonucleic acid synthetase (EC 6.1.1.9) and thereby changes several of its physicochemical properties. The interaction of tau with the host enzyme was investigated in vitro after extensively purifying the factor from T4-infected E. coli using a rapid puri...
متن کاملProperties of a Bacteriophage Derived from Escherichia Coli K235
A temperate bacteriophage was isolated from the colicinogenic strain of Escherichia coli K235 and characterized. This phage, termed PK, is related to P2 virus morphologically, serologically, and, possibly, genetically and it bears no relationship to the T-even phages. It was also demonstrated that PK virus and colicine K differ both in their host range and in their immunological specificity, an...
متن کاملGenome Sequence of a Podovirus (AAPEc6) Isolated from Wastewater in New Zealand That Infects Escherichia coli O45:H10
Bacteriophages are ideal candidates for pathogen biocontrol to mitigate outbreaks of prevalent foodborne pathogens, such as Escherichia coli We identified a bacteriophage (AAPEc6) from wastewater that infects E. coli O45:H10. The AAPEc6 genome sequence shares 93% identity (with 92% coverage) to enterobacterial phage K1E (Sp6likevirus) in the Autographivirinae subfamily (Podoviridae).
